Email Templates
OSCAR allows you to create pre-written email templates that you can send to applicants and recommenders. Templates can use merge fields to allow OSCAR to automatically fill in information like the applicant or recommender name.
An Example of Creating a New Email Template.
Create a New Email Template
Click Tools > Manage Emails
Click Add New to create a new template.
Complete the required fields, including Message Identifier, Subject, Reply to, and HTML/Plain Text Body. Note: You can personalize the email body using the available merge fields listed in the right sidebar.
Include any attachments (if relevant) and click Submit to save the email template for future use.
The email template will be available in the list of email templates when you send email.
Edit an Email Template
Click Tools > Manage Emails
Locate the template in the list and click Edit.
Make your edits to the fields provided.
Click Submit to save your changes.
Delete an Email Template
Click Tools > Email Templates.
Locate the template in the list and click Delete.
In the pop-up warning message, click OK.
