Access to OSCAR

Access to OSCAR

You will need an account to use the OSCAR system for applying for positions, assisting applicants and recommenders, and submitting letters of recommendation.

Access to OSCAR is provided to the following user types:

  • Federal judges

  • Chambers staff

  • Staff attorney offices

  • Court HR administrators

  • Applicants

  • Law school administrators

  • Recommenders

The OSCAR Program Office creates and provides accounts to federal judges, staff attorney offices, court staff, law schools, and recommenders.

  • Law school graduates or students with two years of law school grades who want to search and apply for federal clerkships and staff attorney positions can register for an OSCAR account as applicants.

  • Recommenders do not register for OSCAR.  An account is created once you are identified as a recommender in the system. If you have been invited to submit a letter of recommendation in OSCAR, you will receive email invitation with a secure login link and instructions on how to complete the recommendation.

If you need help accessing your account, contact the OSCAR Program Office.
